Drake Bell Returns To The 'Drake & Josh' House To Find It Demolished

Drake Bell, half of 'Drake & Josh', has returned to the house to find that it's been demolished and now our childhood seems meaningless

Does anyone remember the pain they felt when Drake & Josh was no longer a thing? It was painful in my heart for quite a while. Then I discovered Zoey 101, then I grew up. Such a hard life.

Well, prepare to feel even worse. Drake Bell - one half of the step brother combo - went to visit the Californian property used for exterior shots of his character's home on the hit Nickelodeon show Drake & Josh, only to find an empty lot.

How do you deal with seeing the Drake & Josh house in ruins on the ground? It's just downright wrong and definitely warrants a 'hug me brothaaaaa'.

If you're anything like me, that was basically your childhood home - well, yes, ok... somewhere behind your own gaff, your grandparents' place and your best mate's pad. But still.

Looking at all that rubble on the floor, I feel like my childhood is down there with it. Might as well be anyway.

On Saturday, Drake posted a video to Twitter, featuring him standing in front of a barrier erected around the property, with the caption: "The Drake & Josh House is GONE!!"

In the video he says: "What's up everybody. I came to check out the Drake & Josh house and it is gone. All that remains is this mailbox."

According to E! News, the 4,000-square-foot, five-bedroom home was put on the market last summer and sold in February for $1.55 million (£1.16m).

It was built in 1976 and underwent minor renovations over the years. It is not uncommon for buyers, namely house-flippers and investors, to tear down older homes and rebuilt properties from scratch, especially in the Los Angeles area.

But clearly no one was given the memo on how important that house was. Heartless.

And if anything good can come from this, it was people's reaction to the whole knocking down fiasco - soon enough, fans had surmised that it was all down to Megan Parker, Drake's younger sister on the show.

Of course it was, this entire thing was all her idea - the most evil little sister in the world.

One fan replied to Drake's video saying: "We know one person did it. Megan."

Another added: "It was Megan's fault!" With a third adding: "HOW DID IT DISAPPEAR WHAT HAPPENED - Megan".

But while we're ruining childhoods, we may as well tell you that that the house wasn't actually used for filming beyond the exterior - interior home scenes on Drake & Josh were filmed on a sound stage at the Nickelodeon on Sunset studio on (where else?) Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood.

And while you're pondering whether that means your dreams of the house were all a lie, let's add the fact that the studio was demolished last year - how brutal is this?

Anyway, RIP once and for all to our childhood dream home - may you always remember what a difference you made to our lives.
