This Morning viewers have given a nationwide high five to Eamonn Holmes for an impressive rant against Oxfam's director, following the Haiti sex scandal that has recently rocked the charity.

Company director Tim Hunter appeared on the show to discuss the charity's 'shocking' sex scandal, which involves claims that Oxfam staff paid vulnerable people for sex.

Hunter said: "What has happened over the past few days has been really shocking. And it has been reported that we have many people who have decided to stop giving to us.

"They're wanting to ask a lot of questions."

But it seemed as though it wasn't just those people that had some angry words to say - it was also presenter Eamonn Holmes, who was unafraid to lay into Hunter.

When Hunter suggested a similar problem could be happening at other organisations, Holmes accused him of trying to 'smear' other charities.

"When I was a child in primary school, we were asked to give our pocket money to Oxfam, because Oxfam was there leading the charge - those little envelopes," said the TV presenter.

"And I put it to you: this is not about money for you or them or anything else, because you have not only have taken people's money, you have taken people's sympathy and their whole caring attitude, their stress.

"And you have messed it up. You have betrayed them. That's the mess, so stop blaming it on other charities - unless you're saying this goes on in other charities as well, is this what you're saying?

"You obviously are - you're smearing other charities."

It was then that Hunter tried to compare the Haiti scandal to others in Hollywood and Westminster, but Holmes was adamant that Oxfam sending 'heroes' into vulnerable areas and exchanging 'aid for sexual favours' was far worse than what's going on in Hollywood or politically.

Fans were quick to get on Twitter and praise Holmes for his ruthless interviewing with the Oxfam boss.

Many noted how they'd never seen Eamonn so angry before, while others went as far to say they thought he was going to end up decking Hunter.

"We are ashamed of what happened, we have apologised for what happened," Hunter sheepishly said in the interview.

Actress Minnie Driver has also announced that she has severed all ties with the charity, stepping down as global ambassador by explaining that Oxfam had failed in its 'moral leadership' over the scandal.

She added: "If they don't hand over all the information they have, then I can't work with them any more."
