Easter Eggs Hidden In 'Suicide Squad' Might Change Your Mind About It Completely

When Suicide Squad came out, it was met with an inflow of terrible (or at best mixed), reviews. However, the cast insisted that the movie was made for comic book fans - not the critics.

Judging by this video, they're 100% correct.

There were so many Easter eggs in the film that it's hard to keep track of them all. Mr. Sunday Movies has put together an awesome 10 minute video (trust me, it's worth watching) full of things you may have missed.

Here's a few of them though.

Did you notice Harley pulling out her traditional outfit from Batman: The Animated Series? Harley's character originated from the TV show rather than through movies or comic books. So it's pretty cool that they made a point of including it. It's also shown in the Joker's lair on a mannequin and in a dream sequence.

While on the subject of Harley, there is also a nod to the fact that in the animated series she was a professional gymnast.

The scene where the Joker is lying on the floor surrounded by knives (as seen at the top of this article) is a very memorable part of the movie. But did you notice the baby clothes at the top right hand side?

According to Mr. Sunday Movies, this could be a nod to the fact that he had a pregnant wife who died in one of the universes, or perhaps his desire to have a child with Harley (who does actually have a secret kid in one version) or, according to Leto, it could be something like when a serial killer takes 'a lock of your hair'. This is the darkest and most disturbing possibility.
