Petition To Make Keanu Reeves Time Magazine's Person Of The Year Reaches 7000 Signatures

No two ways about it: not only is Keanu Reeves having a 'man of the moment' situation, he's also a bloody nice chap. So much so, that someone has started a petition on Change.org to get him named as Time Magazine's 2019 Person of the Year.

The petition's creator, named only as 'John Doe', says that his reasoning for the petition is plain and simple. His description reads: "Keanu is the most wholesome person alive, make him the person of the year!"

At the time of writing, the petition has already garnered over 7,000 signatures, and that total is increasing by the second. The Person of the Year award goes to a person or group deemed to have had the most impact in that year.

I think it's fair to say, 2019 is Keanu's year. The third John Wick film - titled John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum - has been widely praised, and also outdid some pretty big names in box office takings. His renaissance also takes in the imminent arrival of Toy Story 4, and of course there's finally another Bill and Ted on the horizon. He's back to his very best.

Fast becoming the most loved man in Hollywood, he's being cast in films all over the show. Not only that, but in what seems to be a rare phenomenon in the times we live in, he's also gone viral for not groping women.

That's right - photographs are being shared on social media of the 54-year-old standing alongside female fans and co-stars. At first glance, nothing seems out of the ordinary. But on closer inspection, you can see that Reeves never actually touches any of the women in pictures; he hovers.

Fans have given their support to the petition, with praise pouring in for Reeves from all over the world.

One user said: "I'm signing because Keanu Reeves is fucking awesome and seems like a good person."

Another commented: "I'm signing because Keanu Reeves is such a great person. He respects all people, and cares about the world. He has had a hard life yet still gives back. This year he will have a movie coming out, and it's the third of a GREAT instalment."

Someone else posted: "Keanu is such a great person and has done so much for others for nothing in return. Lets give him this as a thanks bois."
