Michael C Hall captured our attention in the brilliant, sick and phenomenal Dexter, where he played a dorky forensic blood splatter expert by day and Good Samaritan serial killer by night.

But he's got a new programme on Netflix out that people are saying is very bingeable.

Safe is about Hall's character Tom trying to look after his two daughters following his wife's death from cancer two years earlier. But then tragedy strikes when one child goes missing after a house party and he starts looking for her.

But it's when the widower starts prying into his secretive neighbourhood - that's where the true mystery lies.

Sure, it sounds like every mission persons drama that has ever been produced, but people who have sprinted through the eight episodes already are praising it for its many twists and turns.

One person wrote: "If you want to be taken on a WILD ride I suggest you watch Safe on Netflix immediately I literally bolted upright at one point and that's saying something because I'm lazy AF."

Another said: "I cannot believe I binged all of #Safe on #Netflix today! @CHIMPSINSOCKS was absolutely AMAZING! I'm going to have to re-watch the ENTIRE series because DAMN! Best thing out there I've seen in a long time!"

Sounds like the perfect thing to watch.

While it's always a risk for an actor to take on a role with an accent that is not theirs (Hall plays a British bloke) - he's done very well.

The American actor told The Hollywood Reporter: "I was interested in the challenge of playing an Englishman and the opportunity to play a relatively regular guy.

"I was interested in the fact that there was a definitive end in sight. We were going to do eight episodes, and that would be that. So it wasn't an open-ended commitment to another TV show in that way.

"But ultimately, it was really just about the quality of the script. The fact that there were so many relationships going on. It felt like it was maybe three things at once.

"It felt like a character study, and it felt like a family drama, and it felt like a thriller."

He says at this stage there's no discussions about opening up Safe for another season but he's definitely keen to work with the cast and crew again for a different series.

The series is out now with eight glorious episodes so you better get watching.
