Fans Want Gordon Ramsay To Play Louis The Chef In The Little Mermaid

Actor Halle Bailey has been announced as mermaid Ariel, but as yet casting choices are being kept strictly under wraps.

However, on social media Disney fans are now demanding that shouty, angry, cartoon chef Louis is played by shouty, angry, real-life chef Gordon Ramsay. Well, it wouldn't be too much of a stretch for Gordon, would it?

Taking to Twitter, someone wrote: "Okay, hear me out, Gordon Ramsay as Prince Eric's angry French chef, Louis."

Adding: "Le poisson is f***ing raw."

And people seemed pretty keen on the idea - it's attracted more than 200,000 likes and hundreds of comments from people throwing their backing behind the idea.

One person responded to the suggestion to say: "If he doesn't wedge Sebastian between two pieces of a bread and make him call himself an idiot sandwich, I'm calling the police."

A caps-locker-lover added: "PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN I WON'T COMPLAIN ABOUT ANYTHING EVER AGAIN I SWEAR JUST PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN."

Meanwhile, another person said they could 'die happy' if Gordon were to don Louis's chef's whites in the movie.

Others tagged both Disney and the celebrity chef to make sure that they saw the will of the people.

Elsewhere, fans are torn between whether they fancy Terry Crews or Idris Elba to play Ariel's dad, King Triton.

Artist Boss Logic even went so far as to create a mock-up of what Idris would look like as the merman, posting it with the caption: "So are we getting @idriselba as King Triton now? #TheLittleMermaid."

In response to the very cool illustration, dozens of people are commented to say it was the 'right choice' and 'needed to happen'.

But not to be outdone, Terry shared a, slightly less impressive, picture of himself under the sea, with the caption: "Ariel's Dad!!! #ArielsGotTerry #AmericasGotTerry."
