The first teaser trailer for Fantastic Beasts sequel The Crimes of Grindelwald dropped a few days back, and while most fans have been nothing but hyped for the forthcoming flick, some were quick to point out that they'd spotted a bit of a plot hole.

The film is a sequel to 2016's hugely successful Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them, a Harry Potter spin-off originally written by J.K. Rowling and turned into a film.

From the teaser trailer, the movie looks like exactly what the film's producers promised from the off - a dark expansion of the Fantastic Beasts universe with new characters, good and bad, to go alongside Eddie Redmayne's hero Newt Scamander.

But Harry Potter fans are hard-core, and they will notice every single detail about anything related to their beloved school of witchcraft and wizardry - including the opening few seconds of that recently-released trailer.

In the intro of the trailer, shortly before the bit where they introduce the Jude Law Dumbledore, a coterie of wizards apparate into Hogwarts, despite the school being apparently impossible to apparate into.

However, comedian, Fantastic Beasts actress and J.K. Rowling's pal Jessica Williams has now responded to say that people just need to chill, telling Mashable that everyone just needs to have a tiny bit of faith.

"David Yates and Jo [wrote the script]. Who knows more about the Potter universe person than the person who created it? Nobody. Not a single person," she said in response to the controversy.

"So, like, LOL what do you mean?! Don't you think that will addressed in film? Don't you think there was a reason for it? Do you think you know more than she does on this subject?"

She has a fair point, so let's all just hold fire for a bit... And if there are still plot holes in the actual film, well maybe then we can all kick up a fuss.

The Crimes of Grindelwald will move the action from New York to Paris as Newt pairs up with Dumbledore to track Grindelwald down again after he escapes from wizarding custody.

Just one of the new characters in the movie will be Newt's ex-love interest Leta Lestrange, played by Big Little Lies supporting star Zoë Kravitz. The film will also see the return of familiar faces such as Auror Tina Goldstein (Katherine Waterston), her sister Queenie (Alison Sudol), and Newt's mate Jacob Kowalski (Dan Fogler).

The film - directed by Harry Potter stalwart David Yates and written again by Rowling - is set to come out on 16 November this year - just in time for the Christmas rush.
