The first trailer for Godzilla: King of the Monsters was revealed during the Warner Bros. San Diego Comic-Con - what a place to tease the new movie. And tease it did with appearances from iconic enemies.
So, it's been pretty busy at Comic-Con up to now, the Glass trailer was shown, a taster of The Walking Dead and news of James Gunn's sacking from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 emerged. It makes us tired just writing it.

But the latest came during the Warner Bros. panel as the first look at the follow-up to the 2014 reboot was shown.
io9 have reported that the film is set five years after the first movie and looks at the world after it was transformed by Godzilla's initial attacks.
The trailer begins with Millie Bobby Brown escaping disaster as monsters are returning to Earth... pretty juicy, right?

Scientist (Vera Farmiga) explains that a new threat is on the horizon saying: "Our world is changing. The mass extinction we feared has already begun and we are the cause. We are the infection."
She adds: "The Earth unleashed a fever to fight this infection, it's original and rightful rulers, the Titans. For thousands of years these creatures have remained in hiding around the world.
"And unless all the Titans are found our planet will perish, and so will we. They are the only guarantee that life will carry on."
We get a first look of a few Titans in the trailer, too. We noticed King Ghidorah, Rodan and Mothra and they all look incredible. There's some serious competition for Godzilla to go up against.
Director of the 2014 film, Gareth Edwards was expected to take on the sequel but he left and was replaced by Michael Dougherty in 2016.

The Verge reports that a path is being developed to bring together Godzilla and King Kong in to one huge battle.
And Godzilla: King of the Monsters will be building that path after Godzilla and Kong: Skull Island. It is reported that Godzilla vs. Kong will bring the iconic characters against each other.
Godzilla vs. Kong will be directed by Adam Wingard and is expected to be released in May 2020. But before that we can look forward to Godzilla: King of the Monsters which hit cinemas on May 31 2019.
Some crazy stuff is coming from Comic-Con and we can't wait to see it all released. Another one for the calendar.
