'Gogglebox' Star Quits Show And Looks For Love On Celebs Go Dating

It's the year 2018 and you are watching people on your TV watching their TV. You like doing this so much that you are now reading an article about one of the people on your TV who watches their TV. Everyone likes doing this so much that the person on the TV watching their TV is now considered a 'celebrity' and has ditched watching their TV on TV to instead appear on Celebs Go Dating.

The TV watcher in question is Amy Tapper, from the Tapper family. The 18-year-old will appear in series 5 of the dating programme, which will air on E4 later this month and sees 'celebrities' date members of the public.

However, speaking to Mirror TV, Amy revealed she has quit Channel 4's Gogglebox.

Amy and her family have been a fixture on the programme since the first episode in 2013.

Over the course of the programmes 12 seasons, Amy, her mum Nikki, dad Jonathan and brother Josh, have become favourites with viewers and a staple of the programme. But Amy said she has made her last appearance, like brother Jonathan, and she is 'not really sure' whether or not her parents will follow suit.

She said: "I'm personally not going back on Gogglebox. They can go on but they won't be with me."

According to The Mirror, bosses at Gogglebox confirmed the Tappers are 'on a break', but did not suggest they had left permanently... Guess they must be pretty annoyed that the Celebs Go Dating producers decided to 'tapper' up. Waaaay.

As for her upcoming appearance on Celebs Go Dating, Amy said the Tappers had given her their full support - though dad Jonathan had outlawed one thing.

She said: "They are supportive of everything. Their line is if you're happy I'm happy. My dad just said no kissing with tongues. I said I can't promise you anything but I'll try my best."

Among the other 'celebrities' to go dating this series are Callum Weekender, Olivia Atwood, Eyal Booker, Mutya Buena, Sam Craske, Alik Alfus and Vas J Morgan.

Only kidding, that is the list of members of the public they are dating. Shame on you for pretending to yourself that you recognised some of the names.

Hold on, no, they are the celebrities... Well if that line-up doesn't whet your appetite then nothing will.
