Guy Ritchie Told LADbible His Plans For A Gangster TV Series And Charlie Hunnam Wants In

It's been 19 years since Guy Ritchie's Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels hit our screens and firmly cemented itself as one of the best films to come out of British cinema.

This was followed by the equally as popular Snatch which managed to rack up fans on both sides of the Atlantic and inspired a slew of copy-cat gangster films.

Since then, Ritchie has kept himself busy with a number of Hollywood movies, including Sherlock Holmes with Robert Downey Jnr. But what we've all really been waiting for is another gangster film.

So, when LADbible spoke to Guy, along with Charlie Hunnam, ahead of their new film King Arthur: The Legend of the Sword which is released on Friday (19th May), we naturally asked Guy if he will ever be making a return to East-End gangster films?

And it's good news, because, while Guy didn't confirm any plans for a new film, he did tell us a TV show would be likely.

"I think there's going to be a TV series," he told LADbible. "Which I'm quite excited about."

This isn't just some vague idea, either, as Guy added that he has a script, which he has shown to Charlie.

Charlie admitted he hasn't had a chance to look at the script yet, but he said he didn't require much convincing. "Honestly, I don't even need to read the script," he said to Guy. "If you're doing it, then I'm in."

Guy also answered another question we've all been dying to know. Is Lock, Stock and football legend Vinnie Jones scary? "He can be," said the filmmaker. But then, surprisingly, he added: "He could be the most generous man I've ever met. He could be the kindest man I've ever met."

And who would win in a fight between Charlie and Vinnie? Well, Charlie reckons it's him. Guy doesn't seem too convinced. I don't think I am, either.
