Ron Weasley is but a distant memory.

As we inch ever closer to 2019, there's not a day that goes by without one anniversary or another reminding us of just how old we're all getting.

Speaking of which, this November it will be 17 years since the first Harry Potter film was released. Seventeen. Entire. Years.

And if that hasn't made you feel ancient enough, you'll be surprised to see just how different Jessie Cave a.k.a. Lavender Brown is looking these days.

Harry Potter/Warner Bros.

In the Harry Potter films, Cave played a sentimental but loyal student and an original member of Dumbledore's Army. And, of course, there was her turbulent relationship with Ron Weasley which was kinda awkward from the get-go.

Anyway, most people see that fresh face of hers as synonymous with the wizarding franchise, but that's all about to change as people are waking up to the fact that Cave is all grown up and has taken a totally new career path as an illustrator and comedian.

Not only that, but the star won over the critics with her stand-up performance at the Edinburgh Fringe in August, and is subsequently set to release another book.

Oh yeah, and one look at her Instagram and you'll realise she's a momma now too.

According to Chortle, Jessie's stand-up, Sunrise, revolved around her returning to dating following the break-up from fellow comic Alfie Brown, the father of her children, and won praise for its emotional rawness and complexity. We're going to take a wild guess and say there were probably no Ron Weasley jokes thrown in there.

Now she's launching the show in book form along with a number of illustrations drawn by herself. If you're interested in seeing just how much that little Lavender has blossomed into an artist, the book will be available from November 22 as a £9.99 paperback.

Her life, her look, her creative output - it's safe to say Jessie's changed a lot over the years. Although perhaps not quite as much as some of the other Harry Potter supporting cast. Get a load of Harry Melling, or as you know him, Dudley Dursley. What a transformation!
