It smashed the record for the biggest worldwide opening - meaning that quite a few of you managed to make it down to watch the drama unfold.
And there was there a lot of drama - with the screenwriters killing off what felt like 95 percent of the cast.
The most heartbreaking scene, arguably ever, came after Thanos started turning half the world into a tragic pile of dust.
As Thanos snaps his fingers, while wearing his stone encrusted gauntlet, he vanishes. And then, one by one, the Avengers start disintegrating into thin air.

And here's the spoiler of the century - our beloved Peter Parker's turn comes to vanish and it happens in the arms of beloved mentor, Tony Stark.
He tells him: 'I don't feel so good'. And hit us right in the feels. But don't worry he's already signed for the sequel.
Now for the funny bit. People started to turn the tragic scene into a meme and it's brilliant.
And they just keep on coming thick and fast.
