Henry Thomas has hit the headlines again, following the huge success of The Haunting of Hill House.

Long before the hit series, Henry was one of the most famous child actors in the world, if not the most, starring as the inquisitive little boy Elliot in Steven Spielberg's iconic family film E.T. the extra terrestrial.

This week, LADbible caught up with self-proclaimed Swansea City fan Henry to talk about the movie that shot him to fame - though he doesn't seem to want it to happen, he says fans could well yet see the pint-sized alien return for another outing.

He told us: "I hope that doesn't happen. The film is so special to so many people.

"And as much fun as it would be to kind of indulge in... 'hey, let's create another story in that world', that aspect of it I don't think is as endearing and enticing as the actual film itself.

"There was a novel written that was a sequel to E.T. back in the 80s, and it was E.T. - The Book of the Green Planet, which was about him going home. I'm sure it will happen but I don't think it will happen in Spielberg's lifetime."

Henry and the original cast of ET reunited at the For The Love Of Sci-Fi convention in Manchester.

The event takes place over the weekend of 1-2 December at Trafford Park. Along with Henry, Spencer Wilding (Darth Vader in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) and Gaten Matarazzo and Caleb McLaughlin (Dustin and Lucas on Stranger Things) also star.

In hit Netflix horror The Haunting..., Henry plays the tormented Hugh Crain - the disgraced dad whose children are haunted by their formative years at Hill House and the terrifying evil that lurks in its walls.

Henry says he hopes a sequel doesn't happen but says it's inevitable.

When fans of the show finally realised it was him in the show earlier this year, they absolutely lost their minds.

One Twitter user wrote, "Finding out that the younger Dad from Haunting of Hill House is Elliot from E.T. has shaken me to my core."

While another said: "Still absolutely SHOOK that the young version of the dad in Haunting of Hill House is Elliott from E.T. & i didn't realise the entire way through. What a revelation."

A third fan wrote: "Holy shit balls the dad out of The Haunting of Hill House is Elliot from E.T."

It's an impressive late career move, you've got to give him that.
