There could be more episodes!

We were all really upset when Game of Thrones revealed the last two series would be really short because the TV series had caught up with the books. Hurry up George R. R. Martin, type faster!

But it seems like maybe the series might be a bit longer than we thought.

The show's creators, David Benioff and Dan Weiss claimed they wanted it all wrapped up within 73 hours, but HBO programming president Casey Bloys had said that there could be more.

As reported by Daily Star, he told Entertainment Tonight:

"They're still figuring out the shape of the season, what they want to do. I'll take as many as they want to do."

"If they give me eight, I'll want 10. But it's really up to them. They'll let me know."

Phew! Because seven episodes in Season 7 and six in Season 8 as was speculated was not really going to cut it.

But we're still going to have to wait longer than usual for the next season - it's going to hit the TV screens this summer.

We can't give you the trailer for the Battle of the Bastards, but here's the one for Season Six to remind you how good this show is.

Theories and facts...

Gendry Is Returning!

Finally! Where has the blacksmith got too? If you remember, Gendry was the eldest of the King of the Iron Throne's illegitimate children and the only one that Cersei didn't manage to kill in King's Landing.

We haven't seen Gendry since Season 3. He and Arya got very friendly when they were running round the countryside together but then Melisandre got her scheming hands on him - she was trying to kill all of Robert's heirs, too. Luckily, Ser Davos came to the rescue and shipped Gendry off somewhere and we haven't seen him since. He was last seen, rowing furiously.

But the actor who plays him, Joe Dempsie, has been seen back on set and we're so excited. People think that he will have a big part to play in the upcoming season - after all, he is Robert Baratheon's true heir.

But what will be his role in the story?

Well, Reddit user Sethg119 has a very compelling fan theory.

"I believe we will cross paths with Gendry again in Old Town when Sam starts his studies as a Maester," they posted. "I believe that Sam will study the creation of Valyrian Steel and will require a smith.

"As you remember, Jon Snow sent Sam to Old Town to become a Maester and Sam has only gone and picked up a sword made of Valyerian steel on the way! He's bound to figure out that it's the only thing that can kill the White Walkers.

"He will then go to the smith that resides in Oldtown," carried on Sethg119, "...who will be no other than Gendry."

And then Gendry and Sam - two sweet, pure souls - will work together to create a lot of Valyerian swords so Jon Snow can put together an army.

Dany and Jon...

Jon Snow and Dany meet (definite)...And fall In love (possible)?

We've seen the pictures, we know it's finally happening. Everyone has wanted these two to meet for YEARS. It looks like Jon Snow is travelling down south to meet her, too. At least he'll be somewhere warm for once. They'll probably become allies because they have a lot in common, orphans, very good looking, moral (kind of), fighters and they'll gang up on the monstrous Cersei.

One theory is that the "Dance of Ice and Fire" refers to Jon Snow and Dany - and you can see why. And many people are tipping them as a couple, even though Dany is technically his aunt. Weird, but that's never stopped the Targaryens before, let's be honest. They would make a striking couple.

Jon Snow And Theon Greyjoy Make Up?

We know that these two meet on a beach - and possibly have it out. Theon may have helped Sansa escape, but I don't think big brother Jon Snow is going to be quite so forgiving. After all, a lot of Stark children died and, as soon as their backs were turned, Theon stormed Winterfell.

This is going to be emotional and possibly involve Theon's sister saving him - again.

My Own Personal Fan Theory

After Cersei took the throne on the death of her last child, the venomous look that Jaime gave her makes me think that he's going to do what he did to the Mad King. Stab her in the back and end her! I think that would make things nice and symmetrical. And then he can marry Brienne of Tarth and have giant blonde children who aren't megalomaniacs.
