'Pure debauchery.'

You might have read that the film company responsible for financing the majority of The Wolf of Wall Street aren't exactly squeaky clean.

Well as it turns out, Red Granite Pictures were also super keen to impress Leo at the time.

The Hollywood Reporter alleges that Leo's 38th birthday party was 'pure debauchery', according to an unnamed source.

"The Red Granite guys were having a competition on who could spend the most money on champagne service."

Leo is now 41, so this is a few years back, probably just before Jordan Belfort fever swept over the world.

The source also said that the Red Granite team spent more than a million bucks on bottles that were "brought out by scantily clad women."

As for Leo's actual birthday present, well he apparently was given Marlon Brando's actual 1955 Best Actor Oscar, worth an estimated $600,000.

Although he's got his own Oscar now. Unsurprisingly, Red Granite deny all of this. It's also worth remembering that Leo would have been completely unaware of Red Granite's questionable past at the time.
