It's been more than 20 years since Pizza, aired on Australian TV, making Pauly Falzoni, Sleek the Elite and Habib Halal Habib household names.

The legendary show tracked the lives of various people involved in a pizza company called, uh, you guessed it: Fat Pizza.

It was also the first time many people saw Rebel Wilson on the TV, as she played an obese Greek-Australian girl who was Habib's girlfriend and now wife.

Now this is all old news to fans of the show and movie, but we have some fresh gossip for you: it's coming back.

7Mate will be bringing back the series and calling it Fat Pizza: Back in Business.

Pauly Fenech, who played the lead character Pauly Falzoni, has told 7News.com.au: Fat Pizza is one of the boldest Aussie comedies on television.

"Get set for bigger and cheesier storylines straight from the headlines. Social media trolls, get ready to rumble!"

In this reboot, Pauly has upgraded from pizza delivery boy to boss of Fat Pizza and now he's calling the shots.

SBS

According to Channel 7, the show's synopsis is: "Struggling to get his business up and running, Pauly finds himself fighting with councils, street gangs, politicians and a new foe, the world of app-driven delivery services.

"With underpaid workers and a pizza chef struggling with English, Pauly's business dreams quickly turn into a living nightmare."

Pauly has also promised the show is going to be just as politically incorrect as it originally was.

In addition to Pauly Fenech's character returning we can also expect Mama, Sleek and Bobo as well as a few characters from Housos like Shazza, Vanessa and Kev the Kiwi.

But it wouldn't be a 2019 reboot unless it had a few celebrity cameos and we can expect the likes of Brendan Jones, Jean Kittson, Anthony Mundine, Angry Anderson, Holly Brisley, Melissa Tkautz, Chris Franklin, Garry Who and George Kapiniaris all taking part.

We've been promised a few new characters; the actors haven't been confirmed but their names are Chef Jin Pin, Jayden, the proud bogan Aussie and Mexican rapper Tuco Swarez.

Sounds bloody sweet if you ask us.
