'Human Ken Doll' Rodigo Alves Shows His Extracted Ribs On 'This Morning'

The plastic surgery addict recently had four ribs removed to fit into his blazers. Phil, Holly and viewers at home weren't impressed.

You might think he looks good, you might think he looks downright strange - but either way you'll surely be impressed what Rodrigo Alves has put himself through in pursuit of his ideal body.

CHECK OUT RODRIGO'S DISCUSSION WITH PHIL AND HOLLY BELOW:

In the New Year the plastic surgery addict visited a top surgeon in Beverly Hills, California to have four ribs removed - all so he could look better in his blazers.

Alves, who has spent over £500,000 to undergo over sixty procedures, actually wanted six of his ribs out until doctors talked him down, saying it could affect the function of his lungs.

Now he's been on British breakfast TV show This Morning to defend his reasons for having the op, even going so far as to take his old ribs into the studio with him. OK, now that's a bit much.

Rodrigo said: "I visited three different doctors - two in Europe and one in America. They said I can only do four [ribs and not six as he wanted]. I chose the best doctor. I had the procedure. I'm very happy.

"My blazers have to be altered. I had to always have a bigger blazer and get it altered. I had four ribs removed so that I can do up my blazers without having to breath in or have my blazers altered. I have a 20-inch waist now. It can be a dangerous procedure, absolutely."

Presenters Holly Willoughby and Phil Schofield were amazed to hear Alves' justification for the op, which has left him wearing a corset to help support a spine while he recovers.

Although Holly quizzed him on the danger of the procedure, Rodrigo didn't seem too fussed.

"The ribs that were removed were 11th and 12th ribs, there's not much use for them actually," he said. Not more useless than your appendix, surely?

Phil had trouble getting over Alves' decision, calling his efforts to change himself 'extreme'.

"It seems extreme, I mean the entire sculpture feels extreme," Phil said. "I'm still surprised that you'd have that procedure so your blazers fit."

"It's like your trousers being too long and saying I'm going to have my legs shortened." You might put it like that.

Alves defended his commitment to plastic surgery, calling it a 'long journey' which has left him loving the way he looks after years of therapy and being bullied at school.

He even went so far to say that the knife has changed his life 'from water to wine' - including giving him three partners in the US, UK and Spain - although he warned people not to follow in his footsteps.

"I would like people to give me credit for my will power. I am very happy. Plastic surgery has changed my life, from water to wine. I have a reality show coming up. I feel very proud and blessed," Alves said.

"My message is don't do as I have done. Do your research and your homework. If I had had the right doctors, I might have had only ten [procedures]."

Fair play to him for seeking the life he wants.
