He says he knows every word from start to finish, still cries every time and still notices new things upon every viewing

Every element of pop culture, entertainment and sport has its fans, die-hard fans and genuine super fans. There are people who wait in line for days for the first viewing of a new movie , there are people who dress up as their favourite character to the premiere, and there are people who collect all the related memorabilia.

And then there's Nem.

The American, who goes by the name Nem: The Infinity Watcher on Twitter, has done what few fans could or would undertake.

Most who've seen Avengers: Infinity War (and judging by the box office figures, that's most of you) would agree that it's a brilliant superhero movie, but Nem loved it so much that he's seen it no less than 43 times.

Obviously, plenty of us will cheerfully rewatch a favourite film - sometimes over and over again - but that's usually from the comfort of your own home, via Netflix or another streaming service (maybe even Blu-ray or DVD) so you're not shelling out yet more cash each time.

As proof, Nem has uploaded a selfie every time he's gone to the cinema with the Avengers poster in the background and has been collecting the ticket stubs to prove that he's been going.

Let's do some maths.

With the duration of the film clocking in at two hours and 29 minutes, that means Nem has spent more than 106 hours and 47 minutes watching the Marvel masterpiece. Woah.

The costs must be racking up too, you'd think - but in fairness, while tickets normally retail at $15 (£11) in the US, Nem says he goes to the morning viewings, which are only $5 (£3,70). Still that's $215 (£159) he's spent on seeing the movie. That's some serious dedication.

He wrote on Twitter: "When you're passionate about something, money shouldn't be the driving factor on whether you do it or not. My advice; you get one life, do what makes you happy."

Fair play. If he doesn't know every single word by now, that would be pretty surprising.

He's even suggested that he watched Infinity War twice in one day, which in the grand scheme of things isn't that outrageous but still. Nem added that even though he's seen it that many times, he still manages to cry (most likely at the brutal ending) and he notices something new each time.

Marvel is crafty at throwing in a bunch of Easter eggs and sometimes there's so much going on in the foreground that you miss crucial little nods to previous films, characters or moments.

We feel your pain, buddy.

We need to get Guinness World Records in to recognise this guy's accomplishment.
