It is no secret that things get hot and heavy in the renowned HBO show Game of Thrones - it's what attracted a portion of viewers who just wanted to see some skin.
While the majority of the scenes, both sexy and normal, have been written by author George R. R. Martin, or carefully adapted into the screenplay, only a handful are off the cuff.
That was evident in the most recent episode of the show, 'Stormborn', which featured a kiss between Yara Greyjoy (Gemma Whelan) and Ellaria Sand (Indira Varma).

According to the script, the two characters were definitely supposed to engage in a bit of flirting after Yara mentions that she doesn't mind finding a boy or girl to meet up with when she docks at any port.
But Gemma said that the pair took it a step further because it felt right.
Gemma told Entertainment Weekly: "It wasn't directed that we would kiss. It just seemed like something we should do. We led it, very much so. It was meant to be a suggestion [of flirting] and then it became more sexual than we expected because it seemed right.
"There was only a skeleton crew working because the rig could only take so much weight, so we were left very much on our own. And who wouldn't want to kiss Indira? I mean, come on."
Gemma had reportedly injured herself and couldn't do certain stunts, so a double was brought in to film the part where the ship is attacked by Yara's uncle Euron Greyjoy (Pilou Asbæk).
Indira also tells EW: "So I had to start kissing this poor stunt double and she was so terrified! That was quite funny, bless her. I don't think she'd ever been put in that situation before.
"She's used to falling over and being attacked and all the stunts, but to be kissed by an actress was a bit beyond her."
According to Movie Pilot, another classic scene that was improvised occurred last season between two people who fans are desperate to hook up: Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) and Tormund Giantsbane (Kristofer Hivju).

Tormund is not-so-slyly checking out Brienne, before she looks across at him and he gives her a cheeky grin. While the moment wasn't written in, show creator Dan Weiss says he's seen it at least 150 times and still laughs.
