It ended 14 years ago, but today Friends is still considered the greatest sitcom ever made, and people got very excited recently when a movie trailer appeared online. Sadly, it turned out to be fake - a clever montage of clips from other projects starring the show's cast members, that made it look like it might actually happen.
Fake or not, it did get the attention of the Friends cast, though. On an appearance on US chat show Conan, Lisa Kudrow (better known, of course, as Phoebe Buffay) said that 'something should be done' because millions of people had watched the clip and got their hopes up.
Now, Comedy Central are stoking the fire by flaunting a plot that could - maybe, possibly, potentially - warrant an actual, real Friends movie to be made - and it revolves around Joey (played by Matt LeBlanc) finally tying the knot and getting married.
Now, we know that the Joey spin-off series wasn't very good, but don't let that put you off just yet. There might actually be something here.
The actual concept came from a reddit user called Krstyan, who wrote: "They should make a Friends movie and the plot would revolve around Joey finally getting married.
"I always thought there's no story to tell if they ever made a movie, but this actually makes sense, at least to me. It's a reason to put all six of them in the same plot with the possibility of hilarious scenes."

It does actually make total sense. If there were ever a reason for the six main characters to get back onto a set together - beyond the hefty paycheques their real-life counterparts would obviously receive - it would be to celebrate Joey finally settling down.
Plus, not only would you have all the potential of wedding mishaps to added to the comedy, but a wedding some 15 years down the line would be a handy way to shed some light on just what the characters have been up to in all that time.

Are Ross and Rachel still together? How has Monica coped with motherhood? And did anyone ever find out what Chandler's job was? So many questions...
If the movie were successful, it would - well, could - also act as a jumping off point for a brand new season. Or maybe not. Hey, we're just saying...
