Awkward.

After filming for several months solid, surely it's only right that Jennifer Lawrence could have a little wind down?

The American actress was talking on Late Night with Seth Meyers about nursing her hangover the night after the movie premiere.

She told the host that she doesn't usually 'work' the day after a premiere so everyone would have to excuse her laid-back attitude.

At least it went better than her previous end-of-filming drinking session (for her 2018 film Red Sparrow) when she had an all-out argument with a man who wanted a selfie.

Sipping another glass of red wine, Lawrence explained that her family came to see the launch of Mother! - her latest film, a horror, which is also starring Javier Bardem and Michelle Pfeiffer.

Lawrence was certainly praiseworthy of co-star Pfeiffer, adding that she was 'amazing' to work with and at times found herself struggling to get the courage to speak to her.

She added: "She is just stunning; her eyes are the colour of the Caribbean. She's so talented."

However, some of the scenes, she revealed, were a little shocking for her father to see.

Lawrence said: "It was an odd choice to have my entire family for this particular movie.

"I wasn't really wearing a bra very much and every time there would be a shot my father would go [gasp] at the outline of my nipple."

The film is based around a couple 'whose relationship is tested when uninvited guests arrive at their home, disrupting their tranquil existence'.

Being a horror, it understandably made Lawrence edgy. The actress admitted that watching a film back in 2009 caused her many sleepless nights.

Having watched The Haunting in Connecticut, she explained to Seth Meyers that she found it one of the scariest movies of all time and struggled to sleep for three years.

Meyers jumped in and added that the film was on 'nobody's list' of scariest films, and instead joked that the idea of a spirit coming out of someone's mouth (as pictured) is similar to that of a snake popping out of a peanut can found in a joke shop.

Lawrence's Mother! is directed by her boyfriend, Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan), was released in cinemas on September 15 - dividing the UK critics.
