James Corden and his ever-popular Carpool Karoke took a slightly weird turn when he and his guest were pulled over by cops recently.

Maroon 5's Adam Levine was in the passenger seat, singing along to 'She Will Be Loved', when all of a sudden the pair are interrupted by a cop driving up alongside them and telling them to pull over.

I suppose, singing and hosting a TV show might be classed as driving without due care and attention.

Fortunately for the pair, the sheriff seemed more interested in hearing the star sing than arresting anyone.

After Corden rolls down the window, the cop says: "We're going to pull you over so he can sing a song."

To which Corden, laughing, replies: "You want us to pull over so he can sing a song for you?"

Before the sheriff adds: "Yes, because you're causing a traffic hazard."

To be fair to this policeman, he's probably never going to get the chance to force Adam Levine to sing ever again, is he? You have to take these opportunities when they present themselves.

He lets them go shortly after, warning them to 'be careful' while attempting to sing and drive.

The popular segment of his show has seen some impressive guest over the years, with everyone from Michelle Obama to the Red Hot Chilli Peppers jumping at the chance to sing along with the British host.

However, earlier this week, Corden revealed to Aerosmith's Steven Tyler the one guest that refused to get in the car with him.

He told Tyler: "For the anniversary of Back to the Future, we were going to do a sort of 'Best of the '80s Carpool Karaoke' in a DeLorean.

"We had booked Bryan Adams to come and do the thing. We were very exciting. I love Bryan Adams. He's got hits for days - he's terrific.

"[He] walked in, seen the list of other people that have done it, turned around, got in his car and left... He just bolted, he was gone."

He then said they decided to scrap the whole thing.

"I kind of understand it," he said. "I get it and I hold no grudge." Awkward.
