It's more than 15 years since fans said goodbye to the cast of Friends but it seems we still can't get enough of the gang.

And every year since the final episode aired in May 2004, at least one of the stars has been asked about the possibility of them reprising their roles for another series.

But it's never happened.

However, in an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Jennifer Aniston - who played Rachel Green in the original series - gave fans fresh hope that a reunion could be on the horizon.

When asked by the comic whether she was up for it, she said: "Okay, why not? 'You know what, because listen, I told you this. I would do it. The girls would do it. And the boys would do it, I'm sure.

Jennifer was speaking to Ellen about he possibility of a reunion.

"Listen. Anything could happen."

This isn't the first time one of the stars has come out and said they want to get the gang back together for a special.

Earlier this year Lisa Kudrow - who played Phoebe Buffay - said she had been speaking to Courteney Cox - aka Monica Geller - about bringing the show back for a 25th-anniversary special.

Speaking to Extra TV, she said: "Courteney and I were talking about that, we should all get together.

"Courteney and Jennifer are good planners. I'm that annoying person that's like, "Hey, do either one of you want to put that together?" My role is like, here's an idea and have someone do it."

The actress said she and her co-stars were all extremely proud and privileged to have been part of the iconic show.

She said she and the rest of the gang were up for it.

She added: "We were all really grateful that we had each other, the other five of us, to keep us in check and check in with. Like, this is weird right? Did that happen to you?"

Jennifer and Lisa's comments come after the show's creator, Marta Kauffman came out and said she doesn't think there will ever be a reboot of the series.

She dropped the bitter bombshell during an interview with Rolling Stone magazine where she said that a reunion would just 'disappoint' fans. Erm, no it wouldn't, are you mad?

Explaining her reasoning, she said: "One, the show is about a time in your life when your friends are your family. It's not that time anymore.

"All we'd be doing is putting those six actors back together, but the heart of the show would be gone."

Give the people what they want.
