Kit Harington has responded to a bunch of rumours about Jon Snow's fate in the final series of Game of Thrones - and when we say 'responded', we mean something a whole lot more creative... having blinked and winked through a set of questions from Jimmy Fallon.

Harington appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon ahead of the eighth and final season of the HBO fantasy series, which heads our way in JUST OVER A WEEK.

Fallon decided to try and get the actor to confirm some rumours about what we can expect for our last Game of Thrones outing, having devised a cunning game.

Jimmy introduces the segment by telling Harington: "If I can show a picture and ask you something about it, maybe give me a wink for yes, and a blink for no."

Fallon then shows Harington a photo of a 'sword hidden in the snow as the snow drift gets blown away'.

"Does this mean that you are dead?" Fallon asks, bluntly.

Fallon devised a cunning game to try and get Harington to spill the beans.

The camera then cuts back to Harington, who impressively somehow manages to blink and wink at the same time.

The audience laughs and claps their way through the disappointment of his meh answer, as Harington smugly smiles back at them.

Fallon then tries again, showing Harington a photo of 'flames everywhere, destruction', asking if this means that everybody dies.

Harington then whips out his blink-wink crossover once again - the dude's really nailing them by now.

Finally, Fallon asks if a photo of Jon Snow stood in front of Dany's dragons means he gets to ride them.

Harington's response? I think you can guess - although this one seemed markedly more wink-like, but that could just be me.

It looks like we'll have to wait until the programme returns to get any kind of concrete answer, sadly.

Until then, we'll just have to make do with coming up with our own theories - as many of you have been doing in the LADbible Game of Thrones Facebook community group - or simply keep re-watching the trailer again and again to try and look for clues.

The first episode of the eighth season of Game of Thrones lands on HBO on Sunday 14 April for viewers in the United States, while the UK can get their fix in the early hours of Monday 15 April.
