Lad Goes On Show Called 'Love At First Kiss', Gives Her A Hug Instead

We've all got that one mate who gives it the Barry Big Bollocks about pulling birds but then when it comes to it he's an awkward shithouse.

Meet Josh. Josh is that mate.

He appeared on TLC's Love At First Kiss earlier this week and became an instant meme.

Apparently, the whole point of the show is for people to kiss total strangers and see whether they discover an 'instant connection'.

Right before Josh's big moment, he told the camera: "I think my strategy is just to go for the kiss.

"Maybe I'll even be able to, like, slip tongue and then from there, if things take off, who knows; maybe she'll be my first girlfriend."

However, then this happened...

Basically, he got too frightened to go in for the kill, flashed an awkward smile and then gave her a kiss on the cheeky and a creepy hug.

I've watched it about seven times now and I can't stop laughing. God bless him.

Twitter couldn't get enough of the awkward encounter either...
