There was a hidden message at the end of Sunday's Line of Duty that left fans feeling moved.

Viewers were already intrigued about what the 'little something' could have been at the end of the hit series finale, after actor Martin Compton revealed there would be an 'announcement' after the series finale.

That little something turned out to be a moving tribute to a crew member who tragically passed away after working on the show.

Graeme tragically died at the age of 29.

Graeme Livingstone passed away two years ago after the motorbike he was riding collided with a car in Lisburn, Northern Ireland.

Martin Compston encouraged fans to watch until the end of the credits of the much anticipated episode, saying: "Hey folks hopefully if your jaws are back up from the floor in time, there's a little something at the very end of the show which means a lot to the whole @Line_of_duty family, much appreciated if you could stay tuned for it."

He later added: "Behind every good cast there's a phenomenal crew.

"To make this show really is a team effort. One important face missing from that top picture though.

"Graeme Livingstone gone but never forgotten, not just to us but the industry across Northern Ireland."

Vicky McClure, who plays DI Kate Fleming, also posted a touching message about her late colleague, writing: "Always in our hearts Graeme."

She added: "Huge thank you to the LOD family for making this such a special series! And to everyone of you that tuned in!!!

"Graeme who worked in our props dept will always be in our hearts, we miss him dearly. There is no one who writes like @jed_mercurio we are extremely lucky."

Graeme, was only 29 years old when he tragically died. He had worked on Line Of Duty over two series from 2016, as well as spending time on The Lodge.

He also worked on Game of Thrones for 10 episodes back in 2012.

Line of Duty fans were divided over the finale, where they discovered the long awaited secret identity of 'H'.

Since the hit cop drama began back in 2012, fans have been eagerly waiting and speculating over the mystery.

And the answer, when it was finally revealed, was, well, no-one.

Fans were divided, with some impressed with the revelation, and some left feeling a little disappointed.
