Been a while!

There are a fair few things Macaulay Culkin is remembered for.

People like to talk about his reported heroin addiction, which snowballed into rumours that he spent an obscene amount on the drugs. Others chat about his friendship with pop star Michael Jackson, as well as him fronting a pizza themed comedy rock band.

But most of all, he's remember as: "That kid from Home Alone."

In 1990, he starred as Kevin McAllister in the original film, accidentally missing his family's Christmas trip to Paris. After major success he returned two years later, this time missing out on the annual festive trip by boarding a wrong flight to New York.

The franchise spawned two more sequels, though Culkin didn't feature in either, and it's just as well because no one remembers them.

His resume includes many other titles, though none have been as popular as the Christmas films.

After singing about pizza and starring in Compare the Market adverts, he's finally returning to the big screen for the first time in almost a decade.

He starred in indie flicks The Wrong Ferrari and Adam Green's Aladdin, in 2011 and 2015 respectively, however having never seen them I have to take it by word of mouth that they're of no note.

Prior to that, his last appearance in theaters came in 2007's Sex and Breakfast, a film about young couples experimenting with group sex in an attempt to revive their relationships.

Now he's back to star in his friend Seth Green's Changeland. The pair met during filming for 2003's Party Monster, and they've reportedly kept a close bond over the years.

"It feels like a dream to be filming in Thailand with an incredible crew and some of my closest friends," Green said.

Variety describe the upcoming movie as: "A hesitant character undergoing a personal crisis as he meets up in Thailand with his self-assured best friend, portrayed by Breckin Meyer."

Sadly, for Culkin, he's still attached to Home Alone, so any film he's seen in, people will instantly think of him as Kevin McAllister.
