At around 9pm last night, news broke that Making a Murderer subject, Brendan Dassey, had his conviction overturned.

Thousands of people across the planet rejoiced as they felt that finally, FINALLY, justice had been served.

Back in 2006, Brendan was charged with mutilation of a corpse, sexual assault, and homicide. He was only 16 years old at the time. Many feel that he was encouraged to confess to something that he didn't actually do.

Of course, we'll probably never actually know what happened to Teresa Halbach. However, Brendan is seen by many as an innocent party. And now the law agrees with us as Milwaukee Federal judge William E. Duffin ruled to overturn the conviction.

Earlier this year Brendan's cousin, Carla Chase (who's been acting as the middle-man between Brendan and fans of the series) revealed that Brendan was moved from Green Bay Correctional Institution to Columbia Correctional Institution, 120 miles away. Brendan spent 26 months in his second prison, before moving to Green Bay again. According to his cousin, he was moved back to his first prison for his own safety.

She regularly shares pictures which really highlighted how much he's changed over the last ten years...

If you're wondering what Steven looks like, he's changed a fair bit too.

E!News reported that Judge Duffin requested that Brendan should be "released from custody unless, within 90 days of the date of this decision, the State initiates proceedings to retry him."

He added that "in the event the respondent appeals this judgment, this judgment will be stayed pending resolution of that appeal."

Hopefully now Brendan can go back to a fairly normal life and catch up on all that Wrestlemania he's missed out on. There's a lot.
