Season 42 of Saturday Night Live (SNL) kicked off in spectacular form with Margot Robbie as its host. The show was jam-packed with piss-funny parodies, with the Aussie and other A-Listers thrown into the thick of many TV scenarios.

The show opened with a skit parodying the first presidential election and it saw Alec Baldwin try Donald Trump's orange tan and wispy hair on for size, as he faced off against Kate McKinnon's Hillary Clinton.

Even though Robbie proved to be pretty shit at impressions, the Suicide Squad star's impersonations of both Ivanka Trump and Keira Knightley were classic to watch.

Right on topic, in a Celebrity Family Feuds parody, which saw the battle between the Trumps and the Clintons, Robbie played Donald Trump's daughter, Ivanka.

Joining Ivanka on team Trump was Vladimir Putin (Beck Bennett), Chris Christie (Bobby Moynihan), and Kellyanne Conway (Kate McKinnon).

Team Clinton saw the return of Darrell Hammond as Bill Clinton, newcomer Melissa Villaseñor's Sarah Silverman, Cecily Strong as free-styling Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Larry David bringing back his priceless Bernie Sanders impersonation.

In another sketch, Robbie proved brilliantly useless at playing the role of Keira Knightley. The sketch, which was called 2016 New York Film Festival Women's Round Table, discussed the topic of 'women in Hollywood and Hollywood in Women'.

Although her British accent was on point, her character came crumbling down when she made a mess of hiding her smirks in response to other stars on the panel.

Struggling to keep a straight face to Kate McKinnon, who portrayed Debette Goldry, Robbie lost her character completely. Despite this, the clip was hilarious.

I wish she broke character while playing this role on the show. Since it aired, every time I close my eyes, I can't get this image out of my mind.
