According to a report, the BBC felt that keeping Matt was a priority, especially after losing The Great British Bake Off to Channel 4.

Matt, on the other hand, was liked by viewers and it seems the BBC are keen to keep hold of him. As well as offering him a shitload of cash, Matt's new deal will also see flexible working so he can carry on filming his US sitcom, Man with a Plan, the Sun reports.
There are also rumours that BBC TV controller Charlotte Moore has offered Paul Hollywood a spot on the show. Now, I don't know about you, but that sounds like a bloody awful idea.
