Michael Jackson 'Married' 10-Year-Old Boy, Claims New Documentary
Michael Jackson allegedly 'married' one of the boys he has been accused of abusing, according to claims made in a shocking new documentary.
James Safechuck says he was just 10 years old when he married the King of Pop - then 30 - in a ceremony in the singer's bedroom and says he still has the jewellery to prove it.
The revelations come as part of the upcoming documentary Leaving Neverland, which delves into the accusations of abuse alleged against the late singer.
Safechuck says: "I was really into jewellery at that time and he would reward me with jewellery for doing sexual acts to him.
"He would say that I need to sell him some so I could earn the gift."
Now a father of two, computer programmer Safechuck says it wasn't long into their relationship when Jackson decided to take things a step further.
He says: "So we were like this married couple. I say 'married' because we had this mock wedding ceremony.
"We did this in his bedroom and we filled out some vows, like we would be bonded forever. It felt good. And the ring is nice - it has a row of diamonds, the wedding ring."
The pair had met a year earlier, on the set of a Pepsi commercial in 1987. Just a few months later however, Safechuck says he was being abused by the star - but says he still feels come guilt.
"We were just like fully in love at that time. When I wasn't with him, I was thinking of him.
"It just feels like the greatest thing when he calls. He'd come over and we'd spend the day shopping or hang out, or he'd come over and he'd spend the night. Or we'd go to the Hideout in Westwood and spend a few nights there."
In the candid interview, the 40-year-old pulls out the ring he claims the popstar gave him during the 'wedding' ceremony, which now barely fits on his adult fingers.
He says: "It's hard to go back to that moment. You know, I like jewellery and I liked it as a kid so I think something that I liked was used against me. It causes discomfort."
Picking out another item, he says: "This piece of jewellery is like a Rolex ring with a diamond in the middle. My hands are shaking just thinking about them.
"We would go buy them at jewellery stores and we would pretend they were for someone else. Like for a female, but he would pretend like my small hand would fit for whatever female we were buying it for."
He adds: "Yeah, I don't like looking at the jewellery."
Leaving Neverland will premiere on Channel 4 this week.
