Just when you thought Michael McIntyre couldn't make you cringe any more...

Holly Willoughby was left cringing after Michael McIntyre texted her kids' headmaster to criticise his dress sense.

I mean, any time when you are exposed to Michael McIntyre is usually enough to make people cringe to a level that could be dangerous for their health, but when he is actively trying to ruin your relationship with your children's school teachers, then it's different somehow.

Basically, the whole thing was engineered as part of Michael McIntyre's new show - is anybody sure why they keep giving him these shows? - which is called Michael McIntyre's Big Show.

In a segment that he is calling 'Send To All' he sent a prank text to Mr Hook, the headteacher of Holly's kids' school.

A short snippet of the 'hilarity' that ensued was shown on Children in Need last night.

McIntyre explained: "So here's a quick reminder of the text I sent from Holly Willoughby's phone earlier."

Cue a cut away to the show, in which he read out the text...

He said: "As you know I am a global style icon.

"This Morning are doing a feature where I help people with absolutely no dress sense and I immediately thought of you.

"What WAS that hideous thing you were wearing last time I saw you??"

As if that wasn't enough, the floppy haired 'funnyman' then invited the school teacher into the ITV studios so that he could be ridiculed for his dress sense in exchange for a makeover.

The text continued: "Hope you won't be offended but could you come in with a few of your outfits for Phil and I to laugh at.In return you'll get a whole new wardrobe.

"What do you say? Need to know ASAP.Love Holly xxx."

So, by this point, Holly was unaware of who the text had gone to. Then Michael asked who Mr Hook was, to which she was visibly shocked and said: "Oh my God, that's my kids' headmaster.

"That's the one I'm worried about the most."

Holly cringed even more than you usually would when confronted with Michael McIntyre.

Of course, Mr Hook replied. That's even worse, really. His response read: "Yes of course, but I'll probably be busy with pre-prep assembly. Are my suits really that bad?"

Poor old Mr Hook. Not only is he the butt of a joke he's not in on, he's the butt of a cruel joke by a man who is about as amusing as standing on a plug in the night.

Anyway, McIntyre then said: "Quick text back 'see you tomorrow'" and Holly pleaded: "No! Don't you dare!".

Hilarious, I'm sure you'll agree...
