Well deserved.

Ever since Bluey debuted on our screens last year, the adorable cartoon dog has been a fan favourite across Australia.

Set in Brisbane, the show follows a six-year-old Blue Heeler puppy named Bluey, who lives with her father, Bandit; mother, Chilli; and younger sister, Bingo.

It's been recognised for it's incredible story telling by being nominated for an Emmy Kids Award.

While the recipients of the nomination won't get to rub shoulders with Hollywood's A-listers on the night, they could revel in being crowned the best show in the market.

Bluey has been specifically nominated for the Preschool category at the International Emmy Kids Awards.

It would be absolutely epic if the show could add an Emmy to the award mantlepiece, having already scored Most Outstanding Children's Program at this year's Logies.

If you're wondering how a show about a family of dogs could be about to win such a prestigious award, you just have to look at the glowing reviews for the show.

The Guardian's Philippa Chandler wrote: "The result is an offbeat, hilarious and tender show that captures the joy and frustration of parenthood in equal measure...Dry humour and vivid domestic detail packs each tightly scripted episode."

The New York Times' Parenting lead editor Jessica Grose listed it as one of the best children's shows to watch, describing it as charming, smart and 'very real'.

The West Australian's Bethany Hiatt also mentioned that the show is perfect for parents, encouraging parents to be more playful with their kids.

So here's hoping our show gets the recognition it deserves.
