Good news, lads. Everyone's 'favourite' notorious Colombian drug lord, Pablo Escobar (played by Wagner Moura), will return to Netflix for a second series on 2 September 2016.

Narcos won critical acclaim for its depiction of the rise and fall of Escobar last summer and many viewers (like me) were left craving more after binge-watching the entire series in the space of a week.

Alongside Moura playing 'The King of Cocaine', Gone Girl star Boyd Holbrook and Pedro Pascal as Drug Enforcement Administration agent Steve Murphy will continue their stellar work on the show.

A 28-second exclusive preview of season 2 has now appeared online. It tells us absolutely nothing, mind, but it's enough to get me well excited for my next fix.

If that music doesn't make you want to grow a moustache and puff on a cigar, nothing will.

Pablo Escobar was widely regarded as the world's richest criminal (with a reported net worth of $30 billion dollars in the early 1990s). At the height of his career, he supplied an estimated 80% of the cocaine smuggled into the United States.

His staggering wealth brought him worldwide fame and notoriety and although he became a firm favourite with the poorer people of Medellín, Colombia, Escobar he had a ridiculously lavish lifestyle.

I can't wait to see what's in store for season two!
