Netflix is having a great year so far, with one hit original series after another - the latest being Dirty John which has taken audiences by storm since it dropped earlier this month.

And if you've already binged the entire season, fear not as the streaming service has just released a documentary looking at Dirty John himself - better known as John Meehan.

Dirty John, The Dirty Truth tells the story of interior designer and single mother Debra Newell, who fell head over heels in love for Meehan, a con man posing as a doctor.

The chilling doc includes interviews with the multiple women who Meehan targeted, manipulated and abused during his fraudulent streak.

It even features conversations with the crook's two daughters and delves deeper into his private life - revealing how he used to deal drugs and that there are many other women who he tricked into falling for him.

And it's not just his victims whose lives were put in danger. It's also discussed in the show how a bounty was put on the head of a detective investigating Meehan's crimes.

Fans of the series clearly can't wait to sink their teeth into the 90-minute film.

One person wrote on Twitter: "Just finished dirty John and I am SHOOK but can't wait to start the dirty John dirty truth heheheheheheh gimme more information."

Another viewer who's already watched it added: "Watching Dirty John - The Dirty Truth. The mans a madman! As if the series wasn't enough."

But if documentaries aren't your thing you'll be pleased to know that Dirty John will be back after it was reported that Bravo is commissioning two more series of the gripping thriller.

The dramatic take on the true-crime story sees Eric Bana and Connie Britton take on the lead roles and has been a massive hit since it first aired.

The second season will feature an entirely new story, but is also likely to be a 'true crime'.

According to Deadline: "Season two will be a different and self-contained story, with details to come at a later date."

Deadline also reports that Dirty John will use an anthology-style format, similar to American Horror Story and Haunting of Hill House, reusing the same cast but in entirely different roles.

In a recent interview with The Wrap, Dirty John star Britton was asked about a second season but didn't reveal much, responding: "I actually haven't even really had a conversation about that. But that is going to be completely different story."
