Netflix is the go-to streaming site across the globe, pumping out top-quality content left, right, and centre.
However, even by their standards the results of a new market report are pretty gobsmacking. Variety reports that Netflix's shares now stand at over $130 billion (around £105 million).
To put this in perspective, Netflix is within shouting distance of media giants such as Disney ($155 million) and Comcast ($169 billion). It's no wonder they're able to invest so heavily in the production of original content.

Netflix shares are up about 57% this year, building on a 55% gain in 2017, and on Friday they closed at $301.05 per share. Looks like the streaming giant is set for another stellar year.
This comes just after the announcement that Netflix and Sky are joining forces to take viewers from Netflix 'n' Chill to "I'm never leaving the house" status.
According to Sky, its customers will have access to Netflix shows through its Sky Q set-top box and service alongside the regular Sky channels.

In addition to reaching this record-breaking market cap and its very exciting new partnership, the site ended 2017 with a reported 117.6 million subscribers worldwide, up 25% year-over-year.
And this is only set to grow, particularly in overseas markets. The business model goes full circle - as more subscribers join, Netflix then has more money to play with, meaning the site pumps out more content, and the value of its stock goes up.
Earlier this week, Netflix CFO David Wells explained how international content has boosted the volume of Netflix Originals, suggesting that the company expects to have about 700 original TV series on the service in 2018.

While speaking at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media & Telecom Conference, Wells said: "These are things that are produced in a non-English language market."I just want to make that distinction.
So there's even more than 80. If you think of the total number, it might be somewhere in the 700 range."
Say goodbye to your social life!Overall, it's evident Netflix has gone from strength to strength and we couldn't be happier.

So long as they keep providing killer content and we carry on ditching the real world to binge-watch whatever they're offering up, then we're gonna be 'Netflix 'n' Chillin' for many, many years to come.
