New Netflix Serial Killer Movie In The Shadow Of The Moon Looks Amazing
In the Shadow of the Moon stars Michael C Hall, Boyd Holbrook and Cleopatra Colman and is directed by Jim Mickle.
It centres on a brutal serial killer prowling the streets of Philadelphia in the 1980s, leaving behind a trail of victims with bizarre puncture wounds on their necks.
An official synopsis reads: "In 1988, Philadelphia police officer Thomas Lockhart (Holbrook), hungry to become a detective, begins tracking a serial killer who mysteriously resurfaces every nine years. But when the killer's crimes begin to defy all scientific explanation, Lock's obsession with finding the truth threatens to destroy his career, his family, and possibly his sanity.
"In the Shadow of the Moon is a genre-blending psychological thriller that examines the power of time, and how its passing can either bring us together or tear us apart."
In the newly released trailer the killer, played by Coleman, teases, 'you have to stop chasing me, I'm doing this for a reason' before telling our cops 'you have no idea what's coming...' Well, let's find out together, shall we?
The movie looks to be an interesting blend of your bog-standard serial killer/detective genre, mixed in with a bit of supernatural time-travel and even the threat of the end of the world - what more can you ask for?
In the Shadow of the Moon will be released as part of a massive haul of spooky and chilling new additions from Netflix just in time for Halloween.
French show Marianne has been picking up rave reviews from horror lovers, there's also season eight of American Horror Story and you'll also be able to scare yourself silly with a bunch of new flicks including In the Tall Grass, Rattlesnake and Eli.
In the Shadow of the Moon starts streaming on Netflix on 27 September.
