Actress Rachel Bilson has shared a brilliant throwback shot of her former classmate Rami Malek.

Both stars attended Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California back in the 1990s - and judging by this photo, they were pretty pally.

The snap shows the pair posing together, with Rachel's long hair worn in curls and Rami rocking a chunky gold chain and heavily gelled hair. Give him a break, it was the 90s.

The pair look like close mates in this throwback pic.

Sharing the throwback, Rachel wrote: "Hey Rami Malek, where'd you get that gold chain?" before adding a number of hashtags, including #dontforgetthelittlepeople and #oscarworthy.

Rami and Rachel, both 37, are far from the only celebrity alumni to have emerged from that school.

Speaking all the way back in 2016, Rami also revealed that he went to school with Kirsten Dunst and that he had a bit of a crush in his teens. Ahh.

Speaking to E! News, he said: "We are still friends. I used to have a little crush on her.

"She dates a friend of mine now. We're good buds."

Rami is currently tipped for Oscar success for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody, with the movie having already scooped a handful of awards at the Golden Globes earlier this year.

However, it seems as though Rami wasn't so sure on the role when he was initially offered it.

At Cinemacon in April last year, he told a panel: "When I got this role, I thought, 'Oh my God, this could be a career-defining performance.' And about two minutes later I thought, 'This could be a career killer.'"

He added: "You don't get this right and it's trouble."

Fortunately for the Mr. Robot star, he got it very right - audiences, critics and even Queen guitarist Brian May have heaped praise on Rami for his depiction of the late rock star.

In an interview with PEOPLE, the actor said he got stuck into 'all things Freddie' while preparing for the job.

"It was all in," he said. "It was just after that where the weight of it all hit.

"I felt the only way to not have the pitfall of making it such a pressure-filled situation was to dive in wholeheartedly into all things Freddie, and go to London, take some piano lessons, singing lessons, do some movement coaching, and give it all I have."
