Actor Rob Brydon, better loved as Uncle Bryn in Gavin and Stacey, has given a big hint of a reunion for the show, as it nears its 10th anniversary.

The hit BBC show first hit our screens in 2007, and Brydon said it would be 'lovely' for it to come back, after previously saying he was glad it had ended.

Speaking to The Sun, Brydon said: "If James and Ruth want to do it then I think we'd all do it. It's them really. I think it's a real balance between, 'let's leave it on a high, people love it,' but there's also a big feeling of, 'oh it would be so lovely to get back together and do a special'."

James Corden and Ruth Jones created and co-wrote the show, which ended in 2010.

10.2 million viewers tuned into the final episode back on New Year's Day seven years ago.

51-year-old Brydon had previously rejected the ideas of a revival but seems to have made a U-turn.

"Just one Christmas special, that would be nice. In the past I've always said I don't want to do anymore because I wanted to leave it on a high," he said.

"But I must admit, mellowing in my old age, I'm thinking now, it would be lovely because everyone likes each other."

Sadly, the actress who played Doris, Margaret John, died in 2011 after a battle with liver cancer but Brydon is confident everyone else would return.

"Everyone else right now is still around so it would be lovely because we all like each other so much and it's a great show," he added.

"I'm very proud of the show. And I love playing Bryn, so who knows. I wouldn't rule it out."

Brydon revealed that he still speaks to Corden on a regular basis and that he's pleased of what he's done in America.
