Good old Marvel movies, they've not been mentioned too much recently have they? From The Avengers and X-Men, to The Fantastic Four, Spider-Man and Deadpool some of the most famous Hollywood actors have been lucky enough to be cast in Marvel movies.

Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence and what feels like a million others have taken on a Marvel character, but the question has always been asked - who's best?

The list will grow and grow with the potential to populate a small country but the leader of them all? RobertDowney Jr. apparently because he's been voted Marvel's Best Movie Actor Ever.

Strong words.

According to Ranker, Robert Downey Jr pips James McAvoy, Tommy Lee Jones and Hugh Jackman to the number one spot. Elsewhere on the list, Ryan Reynolds was at number 53 with Deadpool, harsh. Maybe with Deadpool 2 around the corner he'll jump a few spots.

But, I think we can all agree that Robert is a deserving winner, can't we?

The 53-year-old actor is a big martial arts fan and has been practising Wing Chun since 2003. He has incorporated his training into some of his movies, with his teacher Eric Oram saying: "Robert does all his own stuff when it comes to fights. When the camera is on him, it's really him doing it." What a show off.

He's gone on to have three Iron Man sequels, as well as starring in The Avengers, The Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War and most recently, Avengers: Infinity War.

Let's look at the people hot on his heels. James McAvoy, 39, comes in at number two who played Charles Xavier/Professor X in X-Men: First Class, X-Men: Days of Future Past, X-Men: Apocalypse and we will see him again in X-Men: Dark Phoenix.

In at number three on the list is Tommy Lee Jones who was nominated for a Scream Award for Best Supporting Actor for his work on Captain America: The First Avenger. The 71-year-old played Colonel Chester Phillips in the film. He also appeared on a picture in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Some may have thought she would be higher up the list but Scarlett Johansson appeared on the list at number 24. Scarlett, 33, has been a regular in the Avengers films and has also starred in Iron Man 2 and Captain America.

Scarlett, who plays the Black Widow, may have dropped a huge spoiler bomb when she told The Late Show With Stephen Colbert about one scene that didn't actually materialise in Infinity War - leading fans to believe it must be coming up. She can't always be perfect.
