Russo Brothers Share Letter Asking Fans Not To Spoil Avengers: Endgame
Ahead of the release of Avengers: Endgame and the culmination of a chapter of the Marvel Cinematic Universe spanning more than a decade, the directors of the film, Joe and Anthony Russo, have issued a heartfelt plea in the form of a letter asking fans not to ruin it for anyone.
Sharing the full letter on social media, along with the hashtag #DontSpoilTheEndgame the brothers implored their fans not to ruin anyone else's experience by having loose tongues about the final instalment in this MCU chapter.
The letter reads: "To the greatest fans in the world,
"This is it. This is the end. The end of an unprecedented narrative mosaic spanning eleven years and eleven franchises.
"For all of you who have been on this journey with us since the very beginning, sharing every high and low with your family, your friends, your classmates, your co-workers. Investing so deeply in every character and storyline. Laughing. Cheering Shedding tears.
"Giving so freely of your thoughts and emotions in spirited dialogue, theories, fan art, and fan fiction. Please know that the two of us, along with everyone involved in Endgame, have worked tirelessly for the last three years with the sole intention of delivering a surprising and emotionally powerful conclusion to the Infinity Saga."
It continues: "Because so many of you have invested your time, your hearts, and your souls into these stories, we're once again asking for your help.
"When you see Endgame in the coming weeks, please don't spoil it for other, the same way you wouldn't want it spoiled for you."
They concluded by saying: "Remember, Thanos still demands your silence. As always, good luck and happy viewing..."
To be fair, we've not got too long to wait until we discover what happens. Avengers: Endgame will reach cinemas in the UK on 25 April, it's 26 April in the USA.
Australia is extra special and gets the film on 24 April.
If you can't wait that long, you could spend a bit of time delving into the thousands of fan theories and decide which ones you think are the most likely.
Here's a clue - the one where Ant Man crawls up Thanos' backside whilst in his smaller form and then expands, thus killing the evil Mad Titan from the inside out probably isn't going to be right.
We can always dream, though.
Anyways, even once you've seen it, just keep your thoughts to yourself until everyone has had a chance.
