It's been reported that Scarlett Johansson is splitting up with her husband, Romain Dauriac.

Scarlett was spotted without her wedding ring while taking part in the Women's March last weekend. And, now, a source close to the couple has told People they've been 'separated since the summer'.

The source went on to say: "I've been expecting this for some time. Romain and Scarlett has never made sense to me. They aren't equals.

"There's always been something wrong with this picture."

The couple have been married for two years and have a daughter together.

Another source told US Magazine: "Scarlett initiated splitting up and made the decision. She felt like they didn't have much in common as far as lifestyle." It was added that they will co-parent their two-year-old daughter, Rose.

French journalist Romain and the 32-year-old Avengers star are also business partners, as they co-own a popcorn brand called Yummy Pop.

Scarlett was previously married to Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds, with the ceremony taking place in 2008, but they split after three years.

Speaking about the relationship last year, Scarlett told Cosmpolitan: "The logistics of being with another actor are challenging.

"There has to be a real understanding of how you share your time, especially when two people's careers are going at the same rate."

She also seemed to hint at a bit of a competition in the marriage, with them both working in the industry. She said: "If one person is more successful than the other, that also proves challenging. There may be a competitive thing."

Record-breaking Scarlett

If the couple are calling it quits it could be a very expensive divorce.

Last year Scarlett, who has been acting since 1994, ranked at number 19 in the Forbes list of highest paid actors after earning $25 million (£19.8 million) last year.

She's reported to be worth an eye-watering $80 million (£63 million) thanks to her roles as the Black Widow in The Avengers and was reportedly paid $17.5 million (£13.8 million) for Ghost in the Shell.

She was also named as the top-grossing actor of 2016 by Forbes, with her films bringing around $3.3 billion (£2.6 billion). This made her the highest-grossing female actress of all time, which is pretty impressive. Although, speaking at the time, Scarlett said the fact that she was the only female in the top ten was 'disappointing'.

How she earned all that lovely money

Scarlett's career began when she was just seven years old, when she starred in a number of adverts. From there she quickly worked her way up to the big screen. She appeared in a play, Sophistry, at the age of eight opposite Ethan Hawke before going on to have a role in the critically-acclaimed The Horse Whisper when she was 13.

In 2001 she stared in quirky indie-flick Ghost World alongside Thora Birch and Steve Buscemi. From here she made the switch to adult roles, her breakout came in 2003, when she stared in Lost in Translation and won herself a BAFTA for Best Actress in a Leading Role.

Since then she has been prolific, with 56 acting credits on IMDB. Not bad for a 32-year-old, and she's certainly not showing any signs of slowing down, with two films out this year: Ghost in the Shell and Rock That Body.

She's perhaps best known for her recurring role as the Black Widow in The Avengers movies and she will be reprising the role for Avengers: Infinity War, which comes out in 2018.
