Fans of the Netflix comedy Sex Education were delighted earlier today when it was announced that we would be getting a second season.
The show, which stars The X-Files' Gillian Anderson, has been a huge hit - figures reveal that around 40 million households have streamed it since it was launched last month.
Anderson plays sex therapist Dr Jean F. Milburn, but she isn't the only recognisable face in the show. It seems fans are just twigging that the doctor's son, Otis Milburn, played brilliantly by Asa Butterfield, is actually Bruno from The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas.
Butterfield starred as the central character in the moving historical drama all the way back in 2008 and was even nominated for a couple of awards for his performance, including a British Independent Film Award.

As the penny drops, many Sex Education fans have taken to Twitter to share their surprise, with one person writing: "Still can't get over that Otis from Sex Education is Bruno from The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas."
While another posted: "OMG. I've been thinking about this for a long time, but I just clocked that Otis from Sex Education is Bruno from The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas! I knew I knew him from somewhere."
A third added: "Shook that Otis from Sex Education and Bruno from The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas are the same person."
Eagle-eyed viewers also spotted that Ruby, played by Mimi Keene, and Rakhee Thakrar, who plays Miss Sands, have both previously appeared in EastEnders.

One Twitter user asked: Why did no one mention that two EastEnders legends were starring in that new Netflix series, Sex Education?"
While another added: "Episode one of Sex Education and we've already seen Shabnam and Cindy (the young one) from EastEnders."
Wherever we've seen them before, it's fair to say the show is a massive success, earning itself a 90 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Impressive.

So it was only a matter of time before Netflix decided that a second season was in order.
Speaking about the renewal, Sex Education creator Laurie Nunn said: "The reception to series one has been so exciting. Seeing how people across the world have connected to characters that began as ideas in my head is incredible. I'm hugely grateful to every person that has taken the time to watch the series, and I can't wait to continue this amazing journey."
Netflix's vice president of original content, Cindy Holland, added: "Laurie Nunn has captured the awkward teenage experience with a lot of heart and humour."
The new season will contain eight episodes and is due to start filming this spring.
