‘South Park’ Had A Hilarious Response To The NFL National Anthem Controversy

Last night, South Park aired the first episode of its 20th season on Comedy Central in the US. In the show they had a hilarious take on the recent controversy over NFL players kneeling and sitting during the US national anthem.

Colin Kaepernick and the other San Francisco 49ers players involved in the protest said they were doing it to protest racism in America, but loads of other people said it was disrespectful.
In the episode, Kaepernick's protest spread to elementary schools in South Park.

Randy Marsh even decided he wanted to bet on whether a child would stand or not.
In the end the government decides that the anthem needs to be "rebooted" so they enlist the help of J.J. Abrams since he did such a decent job of Star Wars.

That is classic South Park and we can't wait for it to come to TV in the UK.
