You'd be pretty surprised to find out that up until last night, Sylvester Stallone had never before won a Golden Globe award. He'd been nominated two times previously for his original portrayal of Rocky Balboa, but was pipped to the post for Best Screenplay and Best Actor in a Motion Picture, back in 1977.
Now, almost 40 years later and a third nomination under his belt, Sly (and Rocky) finally got the ovation he deserved after winning his first Golden Globe.
Returning to the character that made him what he is today, his performance alongside Michael B Jordan in Creed cemented him as the number one supporting actor of 2015. And that title is definitely justified.

An old friend was on hand to send Stallone a message and wish him good luck for the Oscar's.
Congratulations, Sylvester Stallone.
