Fans of the Rocky franchise are in for a treat, because a sequel to Creed looks to be step closer to hitting our screens.
I think it's fair to say most of us didn't have high hopes when we heard that Sylvester Stallone was dusting off Rocky's boxing gloves and bringing the fictional boxer back for Creed. But then he did and bloody hell, it was good, wasn't it?
Since then the idea of a sequel has been floating around for a while, with eager fans hoping to see Michael B Jordan step back into the ring as Adonis Creed, and now it looks like the wait may be coming to an end.
Because Sylvester Stallone has apparently just finished the script for Creed 2, according to a new post on Instagram.
Uploading the incredibly messy notepad pages, he wrote: "JUST DONE .... if you are curious, around 439 handwritten pages translates into about a 120 page typed screenplay #writers cramp #rockybalboa #drago #adoniscreed #MGM" Exciting.
The film doesn't have an official title or the hint of a release date yet, but knowing the script is in the bag means that we could be pretty close to see Adonis Creed back on the big screen soon.
And even more exciting that cheeky Drago hashtag seems to hint at a more than welcome return of Dolph Lundgren AKA Ivan Drago AKA Rocky's most worthy opponent.
He shared this amazing throw back of him and Dolph last week:
I can't wait.
