Few things on TV have created as much obsession as Game of Thrones. That's because it's great and, as many people know, great things come at a price. But just how high a price?
The upcoming sixth season is probably the most highly-anticipated of the lot, following Jon Snow's unceremonious murder by his brothers in black at the end of the last series.
Add that to Daenarys being captured by the Dothraki, the Martells beginning to make moves towards King's Landing and the fact King Tommen is being manipulated by every woman in Westeros, and we've got the makings of another very good season.

This is also the first season that's overtaken the books, so people genuinely have no idea what might happen to their favourite characters from here on out.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the show's creators are spending 'north of $10 million per episode' meaning more than $100 million has been spent on production for the latest series.
Game of Thrones co-showrunner and writer David Benioff has reportedly been pestering HBO since 2012 for a bigger budget so they could make more impressive battle scenes like The Battle of The Blackwater and The Battle of Hardhome.
Judging by the fact series two of Game of Thrones cost $6 million in total to make, it just goes to show how large HBO want the epic fantasy series to grow.
