The House Robots From 'Robot Wars' Have Had A Massive Upgrade

So Matilda won't be shit anymore?

Over 10 years since Robot Wars last graced our screens - it's back. And this time, they're not fucking around.

First of all, the house robots look incredible. The BBC has said that the house robots have 'evolved and upgraded to modern-day standards to be even more impressive and even more menacing'. YES. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES.

Let's check them out...

Sir Killalot

The best robot by far (in my humble opinion) now features a rotating drill lance and hydraulic claws with a crush force of 2.5 tonnes. He also now weighs 741kg in comparison to his old weight of 520kg. Plus, he can now lift up to 300kg. Bad ass bastard!

Matilda

The memories are really flooding back now, right?! She can lift 1.5 tonnes and remember, those flippers on the front are going to be far more effective than they were a decade ago!

Dead Metal

Remember Dead Metal? The one with the pincers? Yes. He's back. And that saw on the front looks more impressive than ever - probably because it now reaches 340 kilometres per hour. All those nerds' hard work is going to come crashing down in front of them when they're faced with this beast.

Weirdly, I don't remember this one. Strange. But anyway, he weighs in at 327kg and has enough power to tow a van. Damn.

Plus, check out that axe. According to Yahoo, it fires at a speed of 0.25 seconds.

Sadly, Craig Charles isn't coming back. Dara O'Briain and Angela Scanlon will be presenting instead. Plus, they've got a new bullet-proof stadium, but I doubt there'll be actual bullets.

Honestly, I can't wait to see this.

The show will be featured on BBC2 later this year. Of course, as soon as we know more information we'll let you know.

Three, two, one...activate!
