The Next 'Bad Boys' Film Has Been Given A Name

As you may or may not be aware, there is going to be a third instalment of the Bad Boys film franchise.

That's a good thing, because it means that Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are going to be reunited on-screen, and all the other Bad Boys films were great, so what could possibly go wrong?

Well, as more and more details emerge about the forthcoming blockbuster we can start to gradually get more and more excited about it. Now there is a name for us to hang that excitement on.

In homage to some of the great action movies of all time, they've gone for the classic option of trying to work the number of the film into the title.

2 Fast 2 Furious, am I right?

It looks as if this latest effort is going to be called Bad Boys For Lif3. That's a bit of a reach, but if it is even half as good as Bad Boys 2, we'll take it.

That title isn't exactly confirmed, by the way. It's just what the film was listed at in a magazine called Production Weekly. That's a trade specific publication for the TV and film industry, though. You might imagine that they've got a decent line of information regarding things like this.

It could be that this is just a working title and that it will be retitled before release. They'll definitely have to have a think about whether or not they want to go with the 3 in the title at all.

Anyway, we should just be glad that it's happening at all. It's been talked about for ages and has been rumoured to have been in pre-production for a while, too.

A few weeks ago it became reality when the two stars teamed up at last to announce it in a joint video.

Will Smith posted the video with the caption: "It's been a LOOOONG time coming. But now it's Here! @BadBoys For Life We back!! @martinlawrence."

In the announcement video, Smith can be heard saying: "No, no, I'm telling y'all, I'm telling y'all, this is crazy, wait, wait, just wait...it's official, it's official, Bad Boys 3, it's happening, it's official, I'm telling you that's it no more, you can't handle no more."

Lawrence also shared the vid, captioning it: "It's official. Bad Boys for Life. #teammartymar #badboysforlife@willsmith #weback."

Hopefully they don't let the side down and make it as good as the other two.
