By far my favourite childhood movie, the story of the board game Jumanji is soon to be opened once more and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson will be part of the new cast.

In recent weeks, it has been his well-known feud with Fast and Furious co-star Vin Diesel that has been grabbing the world's attention, so even news about him working on the upcoming Jumanji may be somewhat overshadowed.

Nonetheless, as one movie wraps another plot elsewhere unravels.

Before he starts working on the movie, though, he would like to clear up a few misconceptions that Jumanji fans have wrongly jumped on as truth.

Taking to social media, as every well-known actor does when they want to promote an up-coming blockbuster, Johnson set the record straight.

In the Instagram post, he writes: "And now in two weeks I'll reunite with ol' friends Kevin Hart & Jack Black and we have the honour to introduce a whole new generation to the amazing world of #JUMANJI. *(For the record we are NOT making a reboot, but rather a continuation of the awesome JUMANJI story)."

There you go lads, it will not be a reboot but a continuation instead. So no getting your knickers in a twist about the film not being true to the original. Instead you can start speculating as to which direction the most dramatic board game ever will go in.

With the film set to hit the big screen in July 2017, we have a while to wait before getting to see how the next generation of Jumanji characters will play the game.
